Our salvation is secure since God is its author and protector. Because God guards Christ’s kingdom, no power will ever be able to capture it. Because the teaching of the Gospel is founded on God, no matter how active the ungodly maybe, leaving no stone unturned to make a ruin of the church, no matter how they wage war against Christ and his church, they will not prevail. It is God’s nature to defeat men’s schemes, and so he brings punishment on their temerity.
