Not one of you will lose

Acts 27:32-34

32 So the soldiers cut the ropes that held the lifeboat and let it drift away. 33 Just before dawn Paul urged them all to eat. “For the last fourteen days,” he said, “you have been in constant suspense and have gone without food—you haven’t eaten anything. 34 Now I urge you to take some food. You need it to survive. Not one of you will lose a single hair from his head.”

Lessons Learn

Those who are in trouble almost loathe food; and because despair was the reason they had not eaten properly, Paul repeated that they would live, provided they recover their spirits. A faithful minister of the Word must not only announce the promises but tell people to follow God wherever he calls them and not be lazy or reluctant.

What Paul meant was: “God has decided to save you. This ought to make you alert and active and look after yourselves.”
