23 千夫长叫了两个百夫长来，说：“预备两百个步兵，七十个骑兵、两百个长枪手，晚上九点钟往该撒利亚去。24 也要预备好牲口，好让保罗骑上，护送他安全到达腓力斯总督那里。”
23 Then he called two of his centurions and ordered them, “Get ready a detachment of two hundred soldiers, seventy horsemen and two hundred spearmen to go to Caesarea at nine tonight. 24 Provide horses for Paul so that he may be taken safely to Governor Felix.”
Here we see God’s providence even more clearly; although the commander’s aim was to stop any riot that he would have to account for before the governor, he was carrying out God’s plan in rescuing Paul. God was guiding this worldly man by hidden influences on his heart.
