Go back through Macedonia

Acts 20:3-6

3 where he stayed three months. Because some Jews had plotted against him just as he was about to sail for Syria, he decided to go back through Macedonia. 4 He was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus from Berea, Aristarchus and Secundus from Thessalonica, Gaius from Derbe, Timothy also, and Tychicusand Trophimus from the province of Asia. 5 These men went on ahead and waited for us at Troas. 6 But we sailed from Philippi after the Festival of Unleavened Bread, and five days later joined the others at Troas, where we stayed seven days.

Lessons Learn

The Lord disciplined his servant in a variety of ways and continually, thus giving us an example of constancy. It was not enough for him to be wearied with the labor and trouble of a long journey; his life was also endangered by those who made a plot against him.

Nevertheless, when Paul took a different route in order to avoid the Jews, he showed us that we must have regard for our life to the extent that we do not rashly throw ourselves into dangers.
