徒 Acts 19:11-12
11 God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.
Following scriptural practice, the word for “powers” is used for miracles, which were testimonies of God’s extraordinary power. Luke shows that these signs marked out Paul’s apostleship, so that his teaching might have greater authority. The praise is given to God alone; man is just the minister.
