徒 Acts 19:8-10
8 Paul entered the synagogue and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God. 9 But some of them became obstinate; they refused to believe and publicly maligned the Way. So Paul left them. He took the disciples with him and had discussions daily in the lecture hall of Tyrannus. 10 This went on for two years, so that all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the word of the Lord.
We know that the phrase kingdom of God often denotes the restoration that was promised to the ancestors and that was to be fulfilled by Christ’s coming. This kingdom brings us back from rebellion to be obedient to God and makes us his
children instead of his enemies. It consists, first, in the free forgiveness of sins, by which God reconciles us to himself and adopts us as his people; secondly, in newness of life, by which he makes us like his own image.
