徒 Acts 15:27-29
27 Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing. 28 It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: 29 You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell.
When the apostles and elders linked themselves with the Holy Spirit, they were not attributing anything to themselves independently; it is like saying that the Holy Spirit was their leader and director, and what they were writing was decided by his dictation. When it says that the people put their trust in God and his servant Moses, faith is not torn in pieces as if it were given partly to God and partly to mortal man. God was the only author of their faith, and they put their trust in his minister; they could only trust God by believing the teaching Moses gave them.
