People tend to look at God and Christ from a human point of view. Therefore, we always content ourselves with what is certain—that we must seek Christ only in heaven as we wait for everything to be restored. Christ will be far from us until our minds ascend high above the world.
Christ has already restored everything by his death, but the full effect of this is not yet seen. This redemption is still in progress, and so ours is as well, as we continue to struggle under the burden of being servants. Christ’s kingdom has only just begun and will not be complete until the last day.
Nothing is more precious to God than his Word; so he will not allow it to be contaminated.
Anyone who refuses to have Christ as his Master is unworthy of being counted a member of the church.
